After a long day working security at the OSU libraries, I had just gotten home and was in the process of making my supper (a delicious steak, thanks mom!) when I got a call. John, a client for whom I had done various computer jobs, said he could not boot into Windows XP. Because he had valuable data on the PC, he requested that I come by immediately and figure out what was going wrong.
